The Ark is one of the best-known historical accounts in the Bible. Independent research has shown that millions will come to see it, and learn how it and the Flood were real events in history.

The Ark is being built on a beautiful rolling terrain site just off Interstate I-75, about 40 interstate miles from the Creation Museum in northern Kentucky (near Cincinnati). God willing and as the financial support isprovided, this spectacular reminder to the world is planned to open in the spring of 2014.

Deanne Galbraith over at Remnant of Giants, has wondered if the new, “life size” (or should it be “fantasy sized”  centrepiece of the proposed creationist, Noah’s Ark theme park will feature giants since, according to Genesis, two must have been recruited by Noah since they appear both before and after the flood narrative.

The giant loving Galbraith writes:

The theme park, to be called Ark Encounter, is also aiming to gather $25m donations from the public. Yet, before I spend $1000 to donate a plank to the proposed theme-park, I want to be dang sure it’s going to have Giants. Heck, I’m going to demandGiants, even if I’m only donating $100 for a wooden peg.

He has written to them, asking about the giants. No answer yet, but as he reports, Answers in Genesis, is asserting that there will be unicorns.

Just as one who cleans toilets makes fun of the people who pinch their noses when he happens to be near them, because he has himself been in that filth so long that he does not notice that awful stench anymore; so those who worship images and have by this habit so the angry atheist has, by his sensless habit of disbelief, become so hardened to that the filth of disbelief think that they are he actually thinks that he is among the roses, and make fun of those who are bothered by the stench they themselves no longer notice.

At least we now know to turn down an invite to Jim West’s house!  Hmmm, it must smell pretty apalling… apologetic in there!

I have never understood why those who don’t believe in God make such a fuss about those who do. I think it is better to believe there is a God, and when I die, find out there isn’t, than it is to die and find out there is.

The absurdity of Pascal’s wager aside, let’s see if we can enlighten the writer. I might be wrong but let’s suppose the writer is Christian.

First of all, I would ask why do Christian make such a big deal of those who aren’t? Millions upon millions of dollars are spent annually on “missions” to convert us to one denomination or another (and Christians from one denomination to another). Why is there is obsession and why should non-believers be expected to NOT talk and be concerned about it? Countless societies around the world have been raped by European expansion and colonialism, but in the wake of the money-land-power grubbers came the church to complete the “civilizing” process (and to make the Natives like it) by turning them into obedient Christians.

Could it be that many atheists are deeply concerned with what believers believe and do because a darn good number of believers are just plain annoying? How often are people are roused from their dinner tables, couches, beds, or bathrooms to go open their doors to have their beliefs corrected? Yes, the … Continue reading
